Eligibility :
National Geographic Energizer® Ultimate Photo Contest (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old and who have photo capturing capabilities as of 05/15/08.
Timing :
The Contest begins on May 15, 2008 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“EDT”) and ends on August 28, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. EDT (the “Contest Period”).
How to Enter :
Visit www.nationalgeographic.eprize.net/energizerphoto during the Submission (online) Phase and follow the links and instructions to complete the registration form and upload one (1) photo that illustrates one (1) of the following eight (8) themes (each a “Theme”): Adventure and Exploration, Travel, Weather, Science, People and Culture, Festivals and Celebrations, Wildlife and Nature, and Space. You will receive one (1) entry into the Contest.
Limit :
One (1) photo per person/mail address/email address per category (8 total categories) during the Submission Phase (regardless of method of entry).
Prize (s):
ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: Trip for two (2) persons, double occupancy, on the National Geographic Expedition: Tanzania and Zanzibar, March 1-13, 2009. Grand Prize package includes roundtrip coach-class air transportation from airport near winner’s home to Arusha, Tanzania and return home from Dar es Salaam; eleven (11) nights accommodations at hotel or hotels determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (one room, double occupancy); activities including safaris and tours (all activities and activity details determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) and select meals determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $16,000.
EIGHT (8) FIRST PRIZES: A photography-themed package determined by Sponsor including a Gear on Assignment Earth Explorer medium shoulder bag, VuPoint 35mm Film Scanner, the National Geographic “The Ultimate Field Guide to Photography” book, and eight 4-packs of Energizer® Ultimate Lithium batteries (six (6) AA-4 packs and two (2) AAA-4 packs). The ARV of this prize is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed.
