Eligibility :
DOLE Make Me a Chef Contest and Sweepstakes (the “Promotion”) consists of a contest (the “Contest”) and a sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”). The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.
Timing :
The DOLE Make Me a Chef Contest and Sweepstakes begins on March 16, 2009 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”), and ends on May 8, 2009 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Promotion Period”).
How to enter:
Sweepstakes: During the Promotion Period, visit www.dolemakemeachef.com and follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form including a valid home address. As part of your registration you will be asked to confirm that you have read and agree to the Official Rules. Once you submit the registration form, or on days when you subsequently login, when your registration or login is received and recorded by the Administrator’s computer you will automatically receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry (“Entry”).
Contest: After you have registered for the Sweepstakes, follow the links and instructions to submit an essay, not to exceed two hundred (200) words, which describes how and/or why DOLE Canned Fruit is a staple in your pantry (“Submission”).
Limit:
Each entrant may enter the Sweepstakes one (1) time per day by registering or logging in. Each entrant may also enter the Contest one (1) time total during the Promotion Period and will receive one (1) additional Sweepstakes entry for uploading a Submission in the Contest. Each entrant may also obtain additional Sweepstakes Entries through the Tell A Friend Program
Prize (s):
For Contest: ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: Trip for winner and three (3) guests to Los Angeles, CA for a cooking experience with Chef Ben Ford at his restaurant, Ford’s Filling Station. Trip package consists of roundtrip, coach-class air transportation for four (4) from a major airport near winner’s U.S. home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Los Angeles, CA; two (2) nights accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (two rooms, double occupancy); a cooking lesson with Ben Ford (all details of cooking experience including menu, date, time and location determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion); a meal for four (4) at Ford’s Filling Station immediately following the cooking lesson (includes food prepared during the cooking lesson, beverages— limit of two (2) alcoholic drinks per person and available only to participants twenty-one (21) or older—tax, and gratuity); and a $1,000 Visa gift card (terms and conditions apply) that may be used toward transportation, entertainment and other additional travel expenses. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $5,500.
For Sweepstakes:
TWO (2) SWEEPSTAKES FIRST PRIZES: A $500 Visa gift card (terms and conditions apply).
EIGHT (8) SWEEPSTAKES SECOND PRIZES: DOLE gift bag (contents of gift bag determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion). ARV: $100.
