Eligibility :
Open to U.S. citizens and legal residents who are at least sixteen (16) years of age or older who are: 1) attending a college or university eligible under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 as amended and located in the U.S. (undergraduate programs only); or 2) a high school junior or senior planning to attend a school eligible under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 as amended and located in the U.S. immediately upon graduation (an “Eligible Student”).  A parent, legal guardian or guidance counselor of an Eligible Student may enter on behalf of an Eligible Student.  Not eligible to enter: Employees of Nelnet, Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, web site providers or other parties involved in any aspect with the creation, production, operation, execution and fulfillment of the Sweepstakes and the immediate family members (parents, siblings, children and spouse) and/or those living in the same household (whether or not related).  Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.

Timing :
Sweepstakes starts on or about 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern time on 9/10/07, and ends on 8/7/08 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern time (the “Promotion Period”).

How to Enter :
There are three ways to enter the Nelnet $1 Million Scholarship Giveaway:
A.  Access www.Nelnet.com/win during the above-stated Promotion Period, complete the official entry form and click submit.  Entry must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. on 4/10/08 to be eligible for the final First Prize drawing or by 11:59:59 p.m. on 8/7/08 to be eligible for the final Grand Prize drawing.
B.  Fill out an official entry form or print the student’s name, address, daytime phone number, email address, age, student’s expected graduation date (month and year) on a 3” X 5” card and mail it to:  Nelnet $1 Million Scholarship Giveaway Entries, P.O. Box 5290R, Clinton, IA 52736-5290.  Entries must also indicate if the student is graduating from high school or college and if the person entering is an Eligible Student, or a guidance counselor or parent/legal guardian entering on behalf of an Eligible Student.  If the person entering on behalf of an Eligible Student is the Eligible Student’s parent/legal guardian, the entry must also indicate the parent/legal guardian’s name and e-mail address.  If the person entering on behalf of an Eligible Student is the Eligible Student’s guidance counselor, the entry must also indicate the guidance counselor’s name and e-mail address, as well as the name of the school where the guidance counselor works and the school’s location (city and state).  Mailed entries must be received by 4/10/08 to be eligible for the final First Prize drawing and by 8/7/08 to be eligible for the final Grand Prize drawing.
C.  Call the Nelnet College Planning call center at 1.888.402.4001 and ask to be entered into the Nelnet $1 Million Scholarship Giveaway.  You must call by 11:59:59 p.m. on 4/10/08 to be eligible for the final First Prize drawing or by 11:59:59 p.m. on 8/7/08 to be eligible for the final Grand Prize drawing.

Limit:
Limit one entry per person/email address per day regardless of method of entry.

Prize (s):

Ten (10) Grand Prizes: A Scholarship valued up to $25,000.00 to cover one (1) year of college tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for undergraduate courses at an eligible educational institution.  Scholarship value will be based on actual college tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for courses at an educational institution for one (1) year.  Difference between maximum prize amount of $25,000.00 and actual eligible expenses will not be awarded. Prize will be awarded in the form of a check disbursed over two (2) semesters (fall and spring only) and will be a co-payable check distributed to the school on behalf of the student.

Seven Hundred and Fifty (750) First Prizes: A $1,000.00 Scholarship to be used toward the payment of college tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for undergraduate courses at an eligible educational institution.  Prize will be awarded in the form of a check disbursed at one (1) time and will be a co-payable check distributed to the school on behalf of the student.
