Eligibility :
You may enter the Why I Deserve a HomeAway Getaway Contest if you are a legal resident of the 50 United States, Washington D.C. or Canada (void in Puerto Rico and overseas U.S. territories, possessions, commonwealths and military installations and the Province of Quebec); 21 years of age at the time of entry; and you had Internet access prior to the start of the Contest. Void wherever prohibited, licensed, restricted or taxed.
Timing :
The Why I Deserve a HomeAway Getaway Contest runs from 12:01:01 pm, CT, December 18, 2008 (“Contest-Start”) to 11:59:59 pm, CT, January 15, 2009 (“Contest-End”).
How to enter:
a. To submit an essay, post the essay on your blog. The maximum Iength is 350 words.
b. To submit a photo entry, post your photos, up to a maximum of 10, to www.flickr.com. You may place small descriptions under each photo with a limit of 20 words per photo.
c. To submit a video, post your video, up to a maximum of two (2) minutes in length, on www.youtube.com.
In addition to posting your essay, photo(s) or video, you must go to www.blog.homeaway.com and complete the entry form by submitting ALL the requested information, including a link to the essay, photo(s) or video you posted as detailed above and an email address for which you are the authorized user.
Prize (s):
(1) Grand Prize: A $5,000 getaway to the HomeAway Vacation Rental the winner chooses— provided that such Vacation Rental must be available through HomeAway.com or a website owned and operated by HomeAway, Inc. The prize will be applied to the rental of the Vacation Rental. Should the cost of the Vacation Rental be less than $5,000, the difference, up to a maximum of $2,000, will be given to the winner in cash to apply to airfare, meals, etc. In no case will more than $2,000 be given directly to the winner. If the cost of the Vacation Rental plus $2,000 is less than $5,000, the difference will not be awarded. Winner will be responsible for all other expenditures not specifically mentioned in these Official Rules. Grand Prize vacation must be taken during 2009 only. ARV: Up to U.S. $5,000,
